A valid passport
When applying for the France visa from the UK, you must have a valid passport including the 2 blank pages. Ensure that your passport does not expire within 3 months of your return from the Schengen territory.
Beyond having a passport, you should also submit the UK residence permit or the new biometric card. If any kind of stamp is shown on your passport, then you need to provide both the old and the new passport.
A Passport Size Photograph
Visiting the visa embassy, you must carry a recent 2 passport size photographs not older than 1 month in the size of 45 mm * 35 mm and the photo should be in a white or a plain background.
Visa Application Form
Carry a visa application form with you when applying for the France visa. In the form columns, there is a declaration column which must be filled by the applicant or the guardians with the valid signatures.
Employment Letter
Applying for the tourist visa for employed or self-employed, you must carry a job agreement or the company appointment letter with you. You must also submit your last 3 months salary slips. One thing that you must know is that the employment letter should not be older than 30 days from your France visa application.
Travel Insurance
Carry the travel insurance with you covering the details of the period of your stay in the France or Schengen area and it should not be older than 30 days before the visa application date. In case your travel insurance is not from the bank and it is from the post office, then you must attach the document with the original receipt including the policy brochure.

Applying for the tourist visa, certain travel documents need to be submitted including the flight tickets in the form of printouts.
Accommodation
It is compulsory for travellers to provide the confirmation details of the hotel bookings which should clearly state the applicant name, stay date, hotel address and the contact information. If your accommodation has been sponsored by any of the French residents, then you must provide the original attestation accursed which needs to be provided by the resident in France.
Financial Requirements
Applying for the France visa, you must provide the original bank statement of 1 month and the minimum balance should be £55.00 per person or per day. If your bank statement is older than 30 days, then you have the option to show the print out of your current bank account showing up to date balance.
